But centuries of genetic engineering is driving the gene pool towards a dead end, and only samples of our earliest DNA may save us from extinction. And so, with the fate of mankind resting on its shoulders, a lone spaceship embarks upon a journey to rediscover our origin. 'A robot without a goal is nothing more than a calculator.
